How to Help Children Cope with Coronavirus Anxiety and Fear

A counseling technique parents can try is to have the kids draw out a “virus” on a piece of paper, then tell kids to “defeat the picture” by talking to it, yelling at it, stamping on it, crumpling it into a ball, throwing it away, or tearing it up.

Not good at drawing? No worry, tell kids to use their creativity and draw the “virus” in any way that they feel comfortable “defeating.”
