GenPsych’s NJ Addiction Treatment Programs
Your First Step: Ambulatory Detox
Who: For individuals beginning recovery from addiction to drugs and alcohol, who are still actively using, or who have relapsed while in recovery
What: Ambulatory Detox provides outpatient, medically-assisted detoxification as well as therapeutic programming. GenPsych specializes in the treatment of opiate addiction and is a licensed Suboxone provider. Transportation can be accommodated for most NJ residents.
When: Daily; Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Weekends from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Available at our Bridgewater location
Why: Outpatient detox allows individuals to safely detox with medical supervision during the day and return home during the evenings. With daily exposure to “the real world,” individuals are able to actively practice the skills they learn and experience an easier transition out of treatment.
*Through our collaborative housing program, we are also able to coordinate living accommodations as needed.

Continued Care: Adult Substance Abuse Programs
Who: For individuals who have completed detox, inpatient, or other care and are seeking continued programming
What: GenPsych’s Adult Dual Diagnosis/Substance Abuse programs help individuals to remain sober after detox. Individuals explore the root of their addiction by identifying life stressors, improving coping skills, and addressing any co-occurring disorders. Individuals will participate in groups (such as relapse prevention, education, and social support) and work with professional therapists to achieve their goals.
When:
AM Intensive Outpatient: Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Pick three days)
PM Intensive Outpatient: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Partial Care: Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Where: Adult substance abuse programs available at our Bridgewater, Brick, and Livingston locations; Dual Diagnosis programming also available at our Lawrenceville location (Programs vary by location. See site pages for full program offerings.)
Why: Recovery does not end with detox. The decision to remain sober is one that individuals make each and every day. Through skills education and support, individuals will receive the tools necessary to have a successful recovery and to remain substance-free.
