We’d like to announce a great opportunity for Advanced Clinical Training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Here at GenPsych we offer Comprehensive DBT Services for both adults and adolescents at the Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatients level of care. In order to ensure that new staff are always competent in DBT we contract with trainers to provide comprehensive clinical training in DBT on-site. Our next 5 day training is April 18th, 19th and 20th from 9AM-5PM at our Lawrenceville location (31 East Darrah Lane, Lawrenceville, NJ). Because we are always looking for skilled clinicians in the community who we can coordinate care with our clients, we have decided to open this training to social workers, psychologists and counselor outside of GenPsych.
This training is designed to provide foundational training in Comprehensive DBT developed by Marsha Linehan. This treatment has empirical support for the treatment of individuals diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, as well as individuals with multiple diagnoses and behavioral problems including self-harm and suicidal behaviors. This training is designed to prepare individuals for the DBT certification examination. Participants should be aware that considerable preparation and homework during training is required. All participants will be expected to have read the therapy manual and skills training manual listed below prior to training.
This is a tremendous opportunity to receive 40 continuing education credits approved by both NASW-NJ for social workers and NBCC for counselors at the reasonable rate of $500 if registered by April 5th and $550 thereafter. To register, please contact me at (609) 403-6190 ext. 115 or email me at cwetzell@genpsych.com.
I hope you’ll consider making this investment in your own clinical education as well as in the range of interventions you can offer your clients!
