More than 30 mental health professionals met on Nov. 19, 2019 at GenPsych Hamilton office for an evening of information and networking.
Led by Aurora Clark, clinical adult program director, the GenPsych Hamilton team presented an overview of the programs offered, and answered questions from the audience.
Three guest speakers were also present to talk about the mental health field in New Jersey. The guest speakers include Daniel Winters from Capitol County Children’s Collaborative, Eileen Jensen from Mercer County Family Support Organization, and Dr. Lee McDonald, director of Counseling, Health & Wellness at West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District.
Four high school students from the West Windsor-Plainboro Regional School District gave a presentation on how they promote suicide prevention and mental health awareness in their schools.
Mercer County Family Support Organization (FSO) is a non-profit organization committed to providing support, education and advocacy to families of children with emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges, including ID/DD and substance abuse.
Also based in Mercer County, the Capitol County Children’s Collaborative aims to help children with co-occuring medical and behavioral health conditions.
